Handbuilt Ceramic vessels and sculptural work by local Austin Artist Jason Tarver. Works include an ongoing series of bottle shaped forms and extruded and altered vases in both earthenware and stoneware clay bodies, large bowls featuring extruded and manipulated lips and ceramic masks. All works built and glazed by the artist in his studio, the Austin Community College Sculpture and Ceramics Labs, and The Dougherty Arts Center Ceramics Studio. Emphasis on form over function and simplicity in glazing practices. The Artist extends special thanks to the faculty, staff, and students in Austin Community College's Arts Department.
