The members of Missing Zori have an interesting sense of humor. One look at the cover of their recent EP raises eyebrows and even a few people's blood pressure. The nearly blank cover consists only of the title, bloodqueef, which is very much rooted in satire. It contains intricate songs with lyrics that blur the line between sarcasm, truth, and nonsense. Sometimes they will reveal a self-mockery of the band's past leading to ridiculous, emo drenched lines that are intentionally misleading. 'Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it/This is the life of Brian' from the song Un Dramedie des Cinemas is actually less solemn than initially perceived, and rather a throw to Monty Python's Life of Brian. The band is no stranger to the studio however, self-releasing a self titled full length in 2001, and another LP, through composed in 2003, this '05 EP shines as their most ambitious achievement to date.
